GreenPath negotiates repayment plans with ALL your creditors and ALL your debts. Most of our competitors will handle only credit cards and some unsecured debts. But their approach addresses only part of your financial situation.

GreenPath does not charge any fees for counseling, budgets or action plans. We clearly explain our low fee-based service, and won’t surprise you with any hidden fees or “voluntary contributions.” Some competitors keep your entire first month deposit as a “voluntary contribution.”

GreenPath offers you the option of full-service counseling by phone or in-person at one of our 38 branch offices. Most competitors offer only one service --- credit cards by phone out of a central call center.

Our counselors are salaried professionals that are certified by the National Foundation for Credit Counseling. More than 98 percent of our counselors have earned at least a Bachelor?s degree.

GreenPath provides customized solutions based on your personal situation. We provide true counseling and assessment, whereas many of our competitors offer everyone the same “cookie cutter” solutions.

Our counselors will not recommend a solution unless it is in your best interest. Some of our competitors’ employees receive a commission for each person they sign up on a debt management program so they might not always be offering the best options for you.

GreenPath provides you with a copy of your personal credit report and helps you learn how to improve your score.

Our technology ensures that your payments are sent on time in the quickest manner possible --- electronically to all creditors that can accept electronic payments. You can also make automatic deposits and view account information electronically. We're efficient. Many credit counseling companies send payments to creditors only once or twice a month, whereas we send payments to creditors on a daily basis.

You can contact your counselor anytime you have a question or concern. With many of our competitors, you will never be allowed to speak to your counselor after the initial setup process.
